Review on PSB Alpha Powered Bookshelf Speakers Home Audio by Paula Oster

I bought these after hearing about them in store and finding them cheaper at Revain. I originally bought an Edifier S2000MKIII which had amazing reviews and we have 100 less. The bass on them was loud but not detailed enough. It didn't meld with the high notes of the music. It sounded more like a knock than a knock. When I returned them and bought the PSB speakers, I immediately noticed more detail in the sound, and the bass became more complex and rich. I'm by no means an audiophile, but I can pick up some nuances in the music. For the price I would say they are very well made. Overall the sound is 4 out of 5 points. For the price of these powered speakers I would say they are worth it! The speakers were slightly smaller and a lot lighter than the Edifiers. This just goes to show that the size of the magnets in the speakers isn't everything.
