I bought this to connect my phone to a portable battery which I use almost all day every day (my phone's battery died). The cable worked well for the first few days (although the connector was bulkier than I expected and negated many of the advantages of the rectangular connector), but became unstable very quickly. The connector is not properly seated in my phone's USB port. It's secured and doesn't fall out of the port, but it moves *a lot* while still connected to the network. It turns out it's now moving enough to easily lose connection and stop charging even though it's plugged in. Phone. Other charging cables connect to the port much more reliably and do not intermittently interrupt the charging process. While the cable appears to be more durable than most plastic-coated cables, it appears to have many of the same problems that plastic-coated cables do. It creases and twists easily, and those kinks feel long-lasting or permanent. I am also concerned about the wear fracture at the point where the cable connects to the plug. The strain relief is not that reliable.
