This block is very easy to set up and worked very quickly. I have a 70 liter aquarium and a 40 liter tank. Before that I didn't have a protein skimmer so my aquarium was a bit dirty. My fish were happy but there was a lot of green (I think algae) on the walls of the sump and where my downcomer was there was a lot of dark brown and green scum. I installed this and after the first day I had a good skimmate. I have a septic tank in the basement and lots of space. Some people with a sump in the stand should check the dimensions to make sure it fits. It's quite big, but that doesn't bother me. I think the larger size allows this to work so well.
