Review on East Penn 00160 8 Gauge Booster by Mike Bigglesworth

Made in the USA as stated in the description which is the primary reason we bought this from East Penn/Deka. The cables look good and have good strong terminals. 8 gauge cables are not the heaviest, but they are not the lightest either. This is a good mid-range standard service harness. I've driven many regular sized cars with 10 gauge wire (the next smaller size) from the same manufacturer in the probably 15 years I've had them. An 8-gauge wire will fit most cars and maybe some SUVs, but if you need a high-performance kit, look for 6-gauge or even 4-gauge wire. But unless you're driving something big, then there is this set fine.
