I was pleasantly surprised by this bag. It is advertised as leather. he is soft. looks and feels like leather. The hardware is silver and heavy. Locks are secure and smooth. There are 4 metal feet on the bottom which I always look for. I was happy to receive the bag in a thin but comfortable dust cover. The photos I took were taken through an open window to allow for natural light. It's dark blue, I would say dark blue. The handles are rolled - and sturdy. It also comes with a shoulder length adjustable strap that fastens with swivel clips - a premium touch. It has all the external features of a very high quality bag - only without the expensive logo. A minus for me is in the pocket. It is a hard, almost crusty brown satin material. Does it appear to be almost waterproof? It is strange. I wish the lining was different but I still really like the bag and look forward to using it. Also inside there are several zipper areas and side flaps. The bag is divided in two on the inside. Outside there is a zippered side pocket on one side. Made in China as stated on the label. I might go back and consider a different color.
