Our old bathtubs are slippery, without built-in patterns and even with an anti-slip coating. My kids often slipped and after one of them fell for the second day in a row I finally decided I had to get something. I checked several options. I've seen the sucker/mat types and hated how they feel and get foamy quickly. I knew I wanted the sticker version. I tested a few and based on their reviews decided to give them a try. I followed the instructions exactly and it worked great. I only used one pocket (although I have a second spare just in case) for the tub and spread it all over the bottom of the tub, especially in the area where kids always step out of the tub. children love them. They don't feel like sandpaper, and the kids mentioned that they become a little less grippy as they lather, but still provide some grip. I've had no discomfort during the baths so they aren't so rough as to make sitting uncomfortable and we haven't had any falls since we've had them. So far none of them have come off (and my kids are sure to get addicted to them so I have a spare bag). I am very happy.
