This is a quality shower head. The manufacturer is visibly proud of this and provides excellent instructions in addition to a small roll of Teflon tape. But it didn't fit in my shower, so I replaced it with Kohler Forte 1.75 GPM. The 9 inch diameter here cuts into the shower wall when looking down, which is probably why they recommend buying an extension pipe. The water control valve in my shower only allows me to change the temperature but not the water flow, so with all the holes in that huge shower head the flow was low. If you can adjust the water flow and temperature, it might work better for you. PS When you remove your old shower head, you will get wet from a small amount of water flowing out of the supply pipe. Be aware of this.
