This unit is the best HDMI switch I have ever used and I have tried several switches. The switch is not optimal in terms of performance, but 5 stars in terms of functionality. Benefits No external power required - it turns off connected devices. Simple one button operation No junk remote that barely works! (This is also a minus) Cons No remote control, but to be honest all other remote control switches I've tried are rubbish, they don't really work and use non-standard IR signals (can't clone the IR signal with one universal remote), so to be honest, not a big loss compared to other remote controlled switches. The fastening velcro lasted about a night before the adhesive separated from the velcro rendering it unusable. You may also not have a velcro attachment with this switch. The LED lights are terribly bright and can brighten up a room. This is of course normal for any modern electronics with blue LED displays. Today, these dazzling beasts are often overused in electronics as indicators and power supplies. I ended up buying LED dimming stickers to turn off the colossal bright blue LEDs on this thing. Luckily only one ignites at a time, otherwise they would burn your eyes from the inside out! The stickers I used to blow the LEDs off can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CLVEQCO They definitely help turn off the bright LEDs. The functionality is also perfect - no strange screen. behavior and it works fine! Not perfect, but the best I've found in this price range.
