Review on GBXPQEC Silicone Collapsible Portable Graduated by Bobby Plymell

Oddly named GBXPQEC, this collapsible silicone cup is a regular collapsible cup. This serves the purpose of having a cup that you can fold into something smaller - this one folds down to about 1/3 of its full height. However, this is silicone which, while heat resistant, still transfers heat to your hand. So you have to be careful with hot liquids and it doesn't help to insulate cold liquids. I have two complaints about this collapsible mug: 1) it's too difficult to fold and 2) the lid is only slightly dented. As you can see from the photo, the mug consists of 3 "segments" that flex when folded, but not enough for a smooth collapse. You'll have to work a bit with the material, pressing on and around the cup to get it to fold properly. Also, unfolding the cup is a little more tedious than it should be due to the same problem: either the material is too stiff or it doesn't have enough segments. You cannot fill it with liquid and throw it in your bag - it is strictly for filling and drinking from your bag. I would suggest looking for a collapsible mug with a screw top and lid so you can slip your mug of liquid in your bag and not worry too much about spills.
