quality control? for drawing chairs

First of all I like the seat and backrest, they are comfortable, the upholstery looks good. The lift cylinder is a standard model found on every stool; I'm 6'3" and the adjustment range is fine. The oversized aluminum base feels a little flimsy as it flexes significantly under my 185 lb weight, I couldn't trust it to add another 40 lbs. The bottom of the seat was barely attached to its steel base, all the screws were just screwed into their holes and one was cut straight through. A toe ring should never be finished let alone go through quality control. It has ten to fifteen dents, isn't chrome plated in places, it is Scuffing and sanding marks visible, it is hit (warped) and scratched in a few places. All these imperfections could only be admitted during production prior to final packaging. The 15" diameter toe ring seems too small for the 25" diameter base too be, and even if it had no defects, the quality of its construction would not be the best I leave the chair, I repair the threaded cross hole, reattached the seat base to its base, threw away the leg ring and buy other wheels and a larger diameter 20 inch leg ring for it, better quality. I've had tree back surgeries with hardware and stools that work best for me; I spend at least eight hours a day in this chair and it's comfortable and as it has a backrest it's a big improvement over the chair I used. If the legs don't break, the lift cylinder doesn't fail, and the nicely padded seat lasts a year or more, I'll be happy with the purchase, time will tell.
