Revain reviews are fun to read. 5 stars when they work, 1 when they don't, there's not much in between and enough 1 star ratings for a 4.7 star product to make you think. Using Fakespot as a tool didn't help much either. I have come to the conclusion that there is a certain level of manufacturing defects in most products, particularly the electronics, that 1 star ratings are warranted, but should not eliminate many defects. 5-star ratings. With that in mind I ventured here after spending an hour researching crazy wall charging blocks/cubes that are only $15 for a 5 pack anyway! All 5 of mine work great. However, when I plugged in the USB cable for the first time, my phone wouldn't start charging. "Oh my god, the 1 stars were right," was my spontaneous reaction. I tried another cube. In the second cube, I noticed that I had to insert the USB cable very firmly, and voila, the phone charged. Then I checked the first cube again, and putting in a stronger string made it work too. Rinse and repeat, all 5 cubes worked. So I would advise you to buy these blocks and plug in the USB cable tightly. I really appreciate that it fits tight rather than loose. But it's easy to think you've fully inserted it when in fact you haven't. I wonder if it affected at least some of the 1 star reviewers.
