I would have loved this ashtray if the coating hadn't started to bubble and melt the first time I used it. **SEE PHOTO!** The build and design is great and just what I was looking for to keep my ashes from flying everywhere, however the black coating on the center circle/stand started to blister and looked wet, when I put the cigarette down. only 15-20 seconds. At first I thought it was metal, but after wiping it down with a paper towel I realized it was a plating. This is dangerous? Inhaling burning paint/coating is a problem and unfortunately renders this ashtray unusable. As for the "easy cleaning" benefit, I think it would be easy if you didn't have to worry about the black wet melt coating.
