Those of you who write that this is "the best cleanser ever” etc should start using more brands haha. . It's not the best medium for fantasy, but it's pretty decent, I'd say. I laughed at the conversations here between people claiming their eyes had been burned with this cleanser and the seller advising against using it on the eyes. Uh, I think people know how to use soap, although nothing about Revain surprises me. However, I know what these users meant - this particular cleanser stings your eyes more than other cleansers if you open your eyes at the same time as other cleansers. It's like a menthol-like burning sensation from tea tree oil — not a big deal, but you certainly tend to close your eyes and start splashing more water on your face. If you wash your face with water about 4-5 times more often than with other cleansers, there will be no burning. My face feels clean after using it and I really enjoy using it as a cleanser in my morning shower when I'm not washing my face. I wear make-up and only have to wash my face for hygiene reasons. Although it does not dry out and seems simple in composition, it leaves a feeling of cleanliness on the face. Since I wear foundation and face powder I don't feel like this cleanser does a good job removing makeup. If you just use light powder I think it will be fine. But for price and quality, I think this particular line is the best cleanser: Acure Facial Cleansing Gel, 4 oz. I felt like Amara Organics was a smaller copy of this product, similar in feel but smaller in smell and the actual cleaning effect. Although I no longer use Acure Organics, I still think back to it fondly because this cleanser was good—even more of a face wash than a makeup remover, FYI.
