This armrest feels good and the fabric feels good but is stronger than I thought it would be. I've only had it for a week so I expect it to soften with use. It's light enough to take with you anywhere, and the side pocket is a great feature. However, if, like me, you're used to lying on some pillows, you need to give your spine and supporting muscles time to adjust to a more upright position. In a younger person with a more flexible spine and stronger muscles, this may not be the case. I am 57 years old and after two days of daily use for several hours my back hurt, especially in the lumbar region. It took a day of Aleve and heating pads for the pain to go away. I'm sure this is the result of years of poor body mechanics. After going to physical therapy for neck pain and telling my therapist that I was hunched over my laptop for hours, she told me I needed to find a better way to sit. I've bought both that for when I'm sitting on the bed and a lumbar support pillow for when I'm sitting on the couch. If, like me, you have lived on this earth for several decades, you need to give your back time to get used to the new position, that is, to move in - little by little, as I have (now). Getting old sucks! :-) One more thing: the pillow is not very wide. I'm 5ft 7in, 117lbs and I easily fit in comfortably WHEN I'm not using a laptop. The armrests are too high for comfortable laptop use, which means you need freedom of movement. If you are taller and want to use a laptop while sitting on this pillow, you will find it difficult to squeeze.
