This is a good place to temporarily house or keep a gecko in a very hot climate where the temperature does not drop below 75 degrees. Otherwise you will need lights and they will melt the plastic. Heating pads don't heat it enough or can melt it, which can cause a fire. As such, I recommend this if you are changing your gecko's usual home and need to house them there, for breeding purposes, or for traveling to hot climates. I do not recommend it as a permanent gecko home.
