Review on Habiller Leather Vintage Backpack 12X15 BP101 by Anna Lang

This is the original goatskin backpack. It has a definitely artisan and rustic aesthetic, with some skin tone inconsistency in various places and quirky styling in regards to all the little pockets and belts. I love the whimsical style and even the skin mismatch. . The bag is well made, all buttons, zippers and buckles are secure and appear to work as intended. I'm concerned about this bag I gave one star for as most of it is lined with synthetic brushed fabric. - that's what wears out. Aesthetically, it looks like the fluffy side of the skin at first, but is simply glued to the skin in places. The skin itself is fairly thin, although it doubles in some obvious stress points. I have a similar Revain faux leather messenger bag lined with synthetic twill fabric (only used for the inner back panel of this bag) that doesn't look that pretty at first glance, but I prefer it because it's easy to carry . (Ah, the bag in the last photo is lined with twill; I have a brown pile on most of the bag. Twill is better!) Lots of pockets! The back (closest to the body) has a large full opening and zipper (fabric) almost full length. This entire area is about 2 inches deep, so the total storage area here is about 11 x 15.5 x 2 inches. Next comes an even larger area that is the full size of the backpack, approximately 11 x 15.5 x 5 inches. This area has an open padded pocket. Pockets can be seen on the outside: two rounded pockets at the top; Rectangular zipped section at bottom with three smaller open pockets, one snap button pocket and one oddly protruding zipped pocket. There are two small pockets with buttons on the sides. One of the shoulder straps has a small pocket with a button. My old 15" MacBook Pro doesn't fit in a laptop bag, but my 12.9" iPad Pro does. However, my laptop fits perfectly in the backmost compartment. Note: Mine doesn't have the 'locker hinge' shown in the third picture, although it does have a much stronger top handle between the two rearmost full-length storage compartments. A bag that should last a few years despite my concerns about the lining.
