I know the box says 18 months and up, but I wanted to jump start my baby in site words, it seems to be working. If I ask for any red, he goes for a red color near him and gives it to me! I am very excited to see him progressing and so fast too! I do not spend a significant amount of time with him and the cards because he has a very short attention span. I would say I spend about 5 minutes a day on the cards. I am focusing on colors right now (for the past week), but I plan on expanding to animals next to see how he responds because he is still on the young side. I would definitely recommend this product to get the gears turning. It doesn't hurt to develop what is already there, it just takes some time and a lot of patience.
