Lighting: Good brightness. I tried it in several places in my house at night. It provides good light for the kitchen sink, the staircase and the pantry where she will live. By good lighting I mean I can see well enough to wash dishes, walk stairs, and see items in the pantry. I even used the magnet built into the lamp to attach it to the bottom of the microwave to light up the plug. Motion Detection: Motion detection works over 10ft in open area. I've tested this around the house, but it will live in the pantry. Attachment: Magnet is good but only comes with a bracket, I attached a washer (see picture) to allow both magnets to hook. I wish there was an accompaniment. install on at least one side. I added mine. I'm still toying with the idea. This is just to make me more comfortable when the light hits and falls, although that's unlikely. I decided to use a screw instead of double sided tape to attach the bracket since most people have them over their heads. Charging: Well charged, 40 minutes is it? Not sure, depends on how discharged the light is. Mine wasn't fully deflated but was red when I started loading. The indicators are obvious (red for charging, green for completion). Summary: This display can come in handy when you have power failure scenarios. I can't say anything about the durability of the product, will update if there are problems. So far happy with the purchase. 5 stars from me because the lamp corresponds exactly to the description and expectations. I'll likely buy more as I find places where motion-activated lighting would be useful. However, an extra device may be enough if you need to charge and use one - it's easy to swap out.
