At first I found it odd that the pin came off the top edge of these earrings and not the center. But now I understand why. The large central stone "floats"; suspended between the sides of the outer part of the earring. When worn, it moves and shimmers in the light. It's set back a bit from the rest when worn, but that gives it a lot of depth that isn't visible in the 2D photo. They are very comfortable to wear and don't feel heavy on your body. earlobes in general. They look great with jeans or evening wear. Personally, I'd say they might be too big to wear as a top stud in a multi-hole ear, but they're definitely worth trying. The pins seem to be longer than the other earrings but they don't hit me in the head so they are short enough!
