Review on Huion H420 Graphics Drawing Tablet by Russell Robertson

Small and difficult to use

I bought this for photo editing in Photoshop Elements 2018. I was hoping for more precision when selecting, erasing, lightening and darkening. Maybe with more practice, and I mean a lot, my skills would improve, but I doubt it. It didn't work very well with any of the tools, it was very nerve wracking. Even signing was difficult. It was like trying to sign your name on one of those credit card readers. Impossible. As for drawing. If you already know how to draw and understand this, it might work, although you will be working in miniature with such a small tablet. The box says it's an electromagnetic device, but the instructions say it's a Bluetooth device and what should it be paired with? Pen and notebook, pen and computer, notebook and computer? The pad is connected via USB. The pen itself has a battery. It also has 3 buttons that are said to be programmable. The settings made on my PC both from the supplied CD and after the driver/settings download failed from the website had no effect. Also, the buttons on the stylus are right where you pick them up, and every time the tip touches the pad, one of my fingers accidentally touches one of the buttons and an unwanted pop-up menu appears. The 3 buttons on the tablet itself were also unusable. 2 of them just beeped and did nothing, the other one asked if I want to save my work before closing! I gave 2 stars but after reading the review I will change it to 1.
