I recently bought an extra wide (40+ inch) computer monitor and needed something strong to support it. The original stand that came with the monitor didn't allow for height adjustment - only tilting, and I needed something to raise the monitor to an ergonomic eye level. With that in mind, I bought this versatile rotating stand. Pro: Allows for height adjustment. Cons: You have to physically remove the monitor and reattach it to the base to adjust the height. Although this only takes a few seconds, it is not "on the fly”. Another downside: you lose the ability to flip. This attitude forbids you. Overall I am happy with the purchase and still better than the original monitor stand.
