I think the design is really cool and interesting so I took a chance, but the light is too bright and overall the quality control seems very poor. I should have listened to other reviews. I thought people didn't set it up properly and nothing will happen to me as I'm good at housekeeping. I installed it according to the instructions. Everything was in place and tight, but the lamp was crooked. Upon inspection, I found that the portions of the lamp that should have been bent 90 degrees were more like 92-93 degrees, resulting in some clearly incorrect viewing angles and lamp tilt. It may be a matter of preference, but I found the Edison bulb too bright and uncomfortable for regular use. That might be fine if he's behind you, but then what's the point of an Edison lightbulb? I used it as a lamp in my room and the bulb was so uncomfortably bright that if it was anywhere on my periphery it would leave this negative afterimage. The design is nice, but not suitable for cozy room lighting.
