Review on ๐ŸŽจ Bundle of Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Mini Ink Pad Kits - #13, #14, and #15 by Hannah Curi

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good ink, disappointing containers.

What I like about them: 1) The ink mixes well with water and is easy to apply with a small brush. 2) The sets are small and do not take up much space. 3 ) Units stack together - well they kind of stack together What I don't like about them (and I REALLY VERY dislike) 1) Units stack BUT they don't 100% match. That means you think the stack can be moved, you pick it up in the middle and it all falls apart and the lids and stamp pads fly all over the place. Having to extract bits and chunks from all over the world is tiresome at best. At worst, it's a disaster when open, falling ink pads land on the project and destroy it. 2) When stacking, the lid of one snaps tighter to the underside of the one above than to its own base. I intentionally broke the stack 10 times to see if the bases stayed with the lids. 100% failure. When using ink I want the base and top TOGETHER, not the base open with the lid glued to the one above. 3) In the middle of a project I keep this ink stacked. When I need a specific color I grab a batch (see #1 right above) and if it doesn't fall apart I have to go through each ink pad to find the color I want. 4) Containers appear to be of poor quality. What is the manufacturer doing to improve them? 1) Make sure the lid and base actually snap together. 2) Each block should rest on the one below, but not halfway / pseudo-lock together 3) Mark the block (color name) on the side so it's easier to find the right color (see photo) All of this may sound picky, but I use them a lot so I'm VERY disappointed. Tim Holtz. Find another container manufacturer for your ink. :)
