I decided to spend the extra $ on these soap holders instead of other soap holders sold online because Kitsch claims their soap holders are made from recycled materials and because I use them to make my shampoos so so they don't slip out of my hands as they get smaller. With these holders I don't have to worry about my hair getting tangled in the cord or getting caught in the plastic thing that keeps the holder closed. So they are perfect for shampoos and conditioners! They don't tangle on my thin and delicate hair. In fact, they help my shampoo foam better, which means I spend less time washing my hair and picking up slippery streaks, and less time washing, which means I'm SAVING MORE WATER . And you know how insufficient water has become an issue on the west coast of a mega-drought that has lasted over 10 years. but that is explained on the kitsch website. And because they're not made or imported from China, they have much less impact on climate change and the environment than other mesh soap holders that are sold at a lower price. Zero waste online stores sell these items in minimal packaging that is either compostable, 100% recyclable, or NO PACKAGING at all. However, when you buy them from Revain, 🌎-friendly items ALMOST ALWAYS come packaged in toxic, often non-recyclable and highly polluting packaging. Therefore I CANNOT BUY ANY PRODUCTS FROM AMAZON. Revain claims to promote sustainable living, that's bullshit
