Review on HyperX Alloy Origins – Software-Controlled Light & Macro Customization, Compact Form Factor – Tactile HyperX Aqua Switch by Micha Niemczyk ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm happy with it, the price and the quality, I recommend to buy it.

About all the pluses more or less described in detail. About the main disadvantage - hyperx ngenuity. There are many reviews on other products from hyperx where people complain about ngenuity, there is no exception. I don't understand how this program works. Let's start by installing from the Microsoft Store. Why not just make an . exe file? There are a lot of settings, different lighting options. Only after closing the program itself, your settings can fly off. On the F1-F3 keys, you can configure three backlight options to your liking with quick switching via FN. But it is worth closing the program and all settings (brightness, colors, speed) fly off. In this case, one preset works fine, the other two are switched, but the settings become factory settings. Why not make a normal program with autorun so that it hangs in the tray? In general, I am very pleased with the keyboard, I do not regret buying it, if it were not for the crooked software, I would have put a solid 5.

Pros
  • Clicks are simply divine (especially after the membrane) Backlight (its quality and variability) Weight (the keyboard is quite heavy) Height adjustable (legs with two height settings) Design (it looks very nice on its own, without even taking the backlight into account)
Cons
  • hyperx ngenuity software
