Review on ColdPruf Winter Base Layer Pants by Thomas Taylor

Very warm definitely not warm enough to wear as just 1 layer under clothes *but works like 2 regular leggings and I had it hoped! I'd say they're *very* large, although I wouldn't go down a size. The fact is that the fabric in the seat/thigh area is very slightly gathered into the belt, which makes it very comfortable. I have HUGE buttocks and wide hips and they definitely have room for more! I even washed them hot and tumble dried them when I first got them and even with shrinkage they still fit well. Also good for long torsos I would say (like me). In addition, there is a generous landing on the leg, I have no jamming and full freedom of movement even with the calves of a pedestrian. The cotton lining is very soft and comfortable, coming from someone with sensitive (and hairy) skin. They are NOT as blue as in the picture. They are typically grey-blue mottled. I wish they were black, but there are blue ones. ok i think For reference, I tested them by wearing them to sit on the ground and smoke a cigarette † in 42 degrees Fahrenheit, 15 mph winds, in Minnesota. All I wore over it was spandex jogging pants and all I wore with it were thick cotton knee socks along with my usual top layers: shirt-sweater-sweater-leather jacket. I got cold after about ten minutes, so I'd say they're warm enough to wear regular weight men's jeans if you're a person with a functioning body temperature system. As for me, I need to wear more layers of clothing with them. I just ran out to throw the trash in her and my sweatpants. I didn't get cold and my arthritic knees didn't hurt. Last night in an unheated bedroom I wore them as pajamas, under a duvet and a standard Target or Railroad duvet. I was warm, not clammy or raw with sweat. One note: They're wool on the outside as advertised, so I'll update that along with their relaxed fit as I go. I will keep testing them. I will buy them again even if they don't come in black and I will try other basics from this brand (in black). However, I think you can try reducing the size.
