Survived 10 days in England

Received this pair of shoes just hours before landing in Scotland. I had plenty of time to waterproof them but didn't break them in. I wore them on a flight and it wasn't the best way to break in a new pair of shoes. I always forget I get swelling on flights and it's even worse on long haul flights. In mid-flight I started to think that taking this pair as my only pair of trainers would be a very bad decision. Once we landed in Edinburgh we checked in and began our tour of Edinburgh Castle. The shoes started to break in and felt a little better. We drove to Windermere from Edinburgh, where we walked along the lake in the shoes and they offered stable support and good cushioning. At Wimbledon they were fashionable enough to merge with the All England Lawn and Tennis Club. On the streets of London, they were versatile and forgiving. One thing I noticed is that they don't breathe very well when the temperature is high. So I'll hang them up until fall and winter when the temperatures are a bit more favorable for them.
