My 72 year old mother has to wear compression stockings every day. She weighs 130 pounds and has normal sized feet. We weren't sure which size to go with, so we took a chance and went with size E. It worked great for her. It's not too tight and gives her just enough compression to help. I also tried this for my large calves. I have twice as many calves as my mom and it works for both of us. Of course it's tighter for me and I won't be able to go down to a smaller size. If we order again we will try on the next smaller size for my mother. We want to see if that works even better for them. However, she likes this size very much. EI has only one complaint. I thought it would be a continuous role with no breaks. However, when I measured the fourth or fifth piece to cut, the roll held by the tape eventually broke. If I had known there was a gap I would have measured differently and spent a little more time on each piece cut. Because I didn't know, I ended up with a piece that was too short for us to use. That annoying inconvenience with the reel aside, we are very happy with the product and would buy again.
