NICE.Ahem.heck for diff cover

Mag-Hytec Chrysler 9.25 12 hole diff cover will definitely make my future diff fluid change easier not to mention cooler working diff with design and extra liquid capacity . He added about 1.5 pints or 3/4 liters. more Mopar 75w-140 Synthetic Differential Oil compared to the standard 4.5 pints 2 1/4 qt. The capacity brings different liquid capacity up to 6 pints or 3 quarts. This took exactly 3 liters including 4 ounces. Mopar Limited Slip Additive Be sure to add the recommended Mopar Limited Slip Additive first or at least after the first quarter of the recommended transmission oil weight if you have a limited slip differential. I have 100k on my diff and I drag and run hard from time to time and haven't seen any signs of abuse or abnormal wear so I stick with the factory recommended gear oil and fluids and it seems to work fine for me. Get proper fluid flushing with the Mag-Hytec cap. No problem. The filler cap is at the exact same height as the factory cap. Believe me. i Mitutoyo measured it with a digital caliper and if you are familiar with Mitutoyo calipers you know they are accurate. To get a factory level, simply remove the level gauge, start adding your additives and gear oil and once it starts flowing out. level to fill the hole you are there. Simply leave the drip pan in if you've poured too much, wait until it stops leaking, then replace the fill plug with an O-ring. If you have a sparkling clean plastic drain pan, you can even use what the clear liquid has drained and drained. Sparkling clean powder-coated Mag-Hytec lid. Try a rusty factory cover. NOT FOR ME My Ram 1500 has 20" rims along with 275/60 tires which puts the spare very close to the diff cap and I mean close to maybe 1/4" if that's the case is. , it may be 1/8, but I don't see or expect any problems from the contact. I usually tow a trailer rather than heavy loads in the bed so there isn't much clearance and if there is contact I can push the spare tire back an inch or put it in the bed of the truck. With the ease of changing fluids, this differential cover adds too many benefits along with the cooler working fluid to allow for potential spare tire contact to compel me to go back to stock coverage. If I happen to have a problem with the spare tire contact and I really don't think it will be, but if I do I will. Then the rear tire will change, either back an inch or onto the bed of the truck. Another nice feature is the o-ring instead of RTV gasket or sealant. I can see how this makes it easier for quick inspection or repair, differential service or replacement when the need arises. Do not worry. If you tighten the hex heads to the correct torque, this cap will not leak. It's like the back of my truck went from culottes to daisy dukes. lol So glad I bought it.
