For a Californian, drinking wine is a way of life and part of the culture. After spending several years here, I noticed that I experienced a number of effects after drinking wine. These include: severe headaches (lasting most of the next day), runny nose, sore throat, itchy eyes, hot sweats, insomnia, and general lethargy. Symptoms of an allergic reaction to additives in homemade wine. When I heard about the wine stick, I was very happy and ordered 8 packs to try. The first variety I tried was Pinot Noir. I drank two glasses and used the stick for a full 8 minutes before drinking. Unfortunately no difference. Second, I tried it with a bottle of Elite Chardonnay. Again, two glasses, two chopsticks, and a soak for eight minutes. No difference. The ONLY positive thing I can say is that it didn't change the taste of the wine. Also, I think it's a gimmick and totally ineffective.
