Review on ๐Ÿฑ Cozy Haven for Cats & Kittens: PETMAKER Cave Pet Bed Collection - Enclosed Cavern with Removable Cushion Pad by Teresa Jones

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty but requires special care

The soft-walled cube is very attractive and upholstered in beautiful fabrics. Mine is chocolate brown with a fleece lining. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold its shape. It flexes and flexes, and once it rolled across the floor like a cube and landed upside down. I've seen cats sleep in it, but now they mostly sleep on the crushed cube. I have to say they seem to enjoy it as a pet bed even if they only sleep on top and not in the cube. It seems I have two choices: shake it twice a day to get its shape, or just leave it with the cat on it. I bought one of these "cubic" shapes and one of the "igloos". Of the two, I like the "igloo" more. The "igloo" is shaped like a pyramid or wigwam and easily holds its shape. For winter nights, I want the cats to be able to crawl inside, so the "igloo" better keeps them warm. They like a soft dice bed, so buying it is not a waste. **************** I'm updating my review because a few months after buying it I thought of reinforcing the sides by putting some cardboard inside the cat's cube to hold the blanket high. Also, I put the cube under the chair so the cats couldn't jump on it and crush it. Now it's very popular. A cat is sleeping on a chair and another cat is sleeping in a cube under the chair - very cute. I'm increasing my rating to 4 instead of 3 stars. ************** Here is another update of my review. I found that this soft "Petmaker" cat cube fits snugly inside another cat cube I bought (MidWest Homes for Pets Curious Cat Cube, Brown Suede). I put the soft cube in the hard one and now it keeps its shape without being under the chair.
