Review on AEM 30-4407 0-150 PSI Oil Pressure Gauge: Ultimate Precision for Monitoring Engine Oil Pressure by Allan Lambert

Excellent Oil Pressure Sensor

I bought this sensor together with the boost pressure sensor. This is a very responsive sensor. The LED lighting is bright enough to be seen in daylight and has an ambient light sensor for auto-dimming (you can test this by shining a flashlight on it). It's very sensitive (which can be bad, the digit keeps flickering), maybe an analog gauge or digital with an arrow would probably be better, but I still like this gauge. As far as I can tell, the sensor is very sensitive. The image for this article is inaccurate - it shows the Truboost controller/display. The digital display in the center is very similar to this one, but the LED ring on the outside doesn't "fill" as shown; rather, it is a single LED that is always lit. In general, this is a very good indicator of a high-performance car. In addition to oil pressure, you can easily tell how hot your oil is by looking at idle pressure. For example, on a cold start the oil pressure is about 100psi, but as the oil warms up it drops to 18psi at idle.
