This is my first pair with an elastic band going around the upper including the heel. If you don't wear a buckle or larger socks, it digs into your healing. If you have to wear them long enough, they will blister. Too bad because the rest of the shoes are fantastic. So if you wear ankle-length or longer socks, everything is fine. If you're wearing socks for the show, you probably won't like these shoes.
