I have not tested them with products like face lotions or creams and have never traveled with them so I cannot confirm if they are airtight. or not. I've used mine to store glitter and they do the job. I looked for about 20 small containers that were cheap and these were the best reviews I found in the quantity I needed. I haven't had any issues with them, but they never leave my workbench either, so I can't say much about their durability. They seem to be of decent quality and if you are looking for cheap plastic containers. I would say this is a good product to try.
