It's 11/26/19 and I bought it in January (01/2019). The original intention was to serve as an external USB drive for wandering/accidental data dumps, but then I saw myself using it more and more. I started using it as a full "external" drive to host my games from my laptop and use a USB-C connection for faster data transfers. Connection seems to fail after prolonged use due to heat and light touch. Note that this is not capable of ACTIVELY dissipating heat. This only works with passive heat transfer to the chassis. The included cable is quite stiff, but still somewhat flexible. Tapping the case/cable will cause tripping. I wouldn't recommend it for people who use frequent/large gears.
