Extremely difficult to remove.
The backing was very difficult to remove. I have never experienced something like that. I had to use pliers to pull and unscrew it. I won't use it again. If you want to wear earrings all the time then that's fine, but changing earrings or not wearing them to bed is a big problem and some people have had to have them professionally taken off as mentioned in other reviews.
