As someone who enjoys overcomplicating simple things, I wasn't happy just turning on my webcam and teaching college classes on Zoom during the COVID-19 quarantine. While most people using Zoom from home spend time worrying about hair, makeup, background, etc., they seem to forget that the type of lighting makes all the difference. . These lamps are the perfect solution. Pick one up on the right or left and make it bright (I recommend using a warmer tone). Add another one on the other side and make it light enough to fill in the shadows. BAMM! You will look like a TV presenter. One last suggestion, which you can thank me for later: invest in some tripod sandbags. While these lights are about as stable as anything I've used, you don't want your dog tripping over the line and hitting your face with the light when shooting. While it won't hurt anything (except maybe your pride), it will save you the hassle of having to interrupt the class/meeting long enough to turn on the lights.
