When I unpacked this product I noticed that it wasn't over tightening the gasket between the cover and case to keep water out of the radio so I bought this part to start with. To test this observation, I tried sliding a piece of paper between the lid and case while it was latched and it slipped easily between the two pieces, proving it wasn't watertight. This design has a lot of potential, but if it doesn't compress the gasket between these two parts it can't prevent water from entering your radio, which it was designed to do.
