This is not the rubber advertised. It's more like thin, rough plastic with a CHEAP light rubber coating. A bit like a fresh truck body liner. They glide on smooth surfaces but stick to clothing and rubber. I thought it was more like a rubber band for a baseball bat, but it's definitely not. It is definitely not suitable for any type of pistol grip, controller grip or anything that requires a highly elastic grip material. I find it ok for my application as I use it to protect the side frame of my motorcycle. This means that since it's not entirely rubber, it won't attract and stick to dirt/grime as much. It's very tacky, but my main concern is whether it's actually waterproof and how quickly the black will fade in the sun.
