I've been using the standard tie closure for over 10 years. I decided to add something new to my outfit by adding this fancy gold tie strip and it is beautiful. What I like best besides the look is the size. It's not too long or too short; just the right size for most modern ties (excluding narrow ties). While some may find a $10 tie rod "expensive," I think it's worth it. It is well made and will make your outfit stand out from the rest.
