Review on 🎮 Enhanced Remote Control with Backlight for Optoma Projector HD26 GT1080 GT1070X HD141X DH1008 HD37 HDF536 HDF537ST HD200D EH200ST by Wayne Girard

This remote control was not compatible with my Optoma HD141X. Only the on/off buttons worked properly. All other buttons either didn't work at all or performed an inconsistent function. For example, the keystone button actually controlled the aspect ratio, the up arrow opened the menu, but the arrow and select/enter keys did nothing, and I couldn't find any other keys to navigate or select/enter any of the menus on. So even my detection of menu buttons with wrong names and wrong aspect ratios was useless because I couldn't do anything in any of the menus. This was all done to save me the headache of the power button, which worked intermittently on my original remote. After not being able to find an exact replacement for the original ANYWHERE on the internet, I finally decided to open up the remote and repair it myself by cleaning the contacts with some alcohol. Like new! UPDATE: The seller sent me another remote control to make sure the behavior was an accident. However, the results remained the same. The buttons worked (or didn't work) the same as the first ones, rendering them unusable. I stand by my original review - this remote control which appears to be identical to the SP.8ZE01GC01 remote recommended by Optoma Customer Service is actually NOT compatible with the Optoma HD141X. However, this may be due to the manufacturer's recommendation and not the seller's fault. As a reminder, this is not a problem with my projector as all buttons work fine on my original remote (only the commonly used power button had problems).
