Great product at a great price. We installed it straight into the basement sink drain, a PVC ball valve, a 90 degree elbow and immediately installed it into the included check valve and washing machine hose. In fact, it works so well and it was easy to install. After all, a pump can process significantly more water than a tap, and that's where the ball valve comes in handy. We had to reduce the flow so the pump wouldn't turn on every few seconds. The built in check valve was fine. The block is quiet. I would have no hesitation in buying it again and it was about $50 cheaper than the other options. We are very satisfied.
