I was excited to see the foil blade version of this product for a closer shave. This part works well, but that's about it. Everything is made of cheap, brittle plastic. It feels like it will break when you switch heads. The OG device is constructed like a tank. The new standard cutting heads pull, tug and scrape my skin. Application hurts which makes this product almost useless for me. I've tried oiling the blades to no avail. Still, it's very uncomfortable to use. Although the foil cutter head works when I open it up to clean, the cheapness of the build quality again makes it stand out. I have five dollar beard trimmers from Walmart that are better made. It feels like this thing is going to fall apart in a few days while I'm cleaning it. The "flexible" head is made out of the same fragile plastic as everything else and doesn't flex at all. Sometimes the power button gets stuck and I have to tap the item with my hand for it to start. I've only used it three times so it doesn't inspire confidence. I've reverted to my original mangroomer from almost a decade ago, which still works as it did the day it was new, for "mowing," and I use foil. It's for the smoothness, but it really seems like a waste of money to pay that much for something that is physically painful to use and therefore 80% useless. I don't expect this item to last more than a year and I don't think I will trust the brand's products again.
