I have several large hair razors. One wired choice and the other unbranded. When offered this, I accepted because my daughter likes the "edging" where you carve designs into shaved areas of the head. The larger choice was too big and I didn't feel safe with a razor. This razor is small because it is lightweight and has a narrow head width. This is perfectly normal as it is primarily designed for tighter spaces. Other than that, I shave my whole head with it. I like the height "0". Its original cutting height is fantastically low. It comes with some nice magnetic mounts that can lift it about 1/2 inch in height. If you don't use the attachment and hold the cutter upside down, you may make lines and sharp edges when cutting. The cutting surface is razor sharp and very precise. The battery life is fantastic! I shave my head every week and forget to charge it and can cut my hair for over a month without charging. This is really impressive for such a light and small clipper. The biggest complaint has to be the protection of the hair around the motor - everything is open, you can see the motor's output shaft and the mechanism for moving the blade. It comes with a plastic cap but I had longer hair that caught on this rod and was pulled out. This will hurt the person I'm cutting the hair of and may also stop the motor. Pull lightly and it will come off, but it will still hurt the person. I would like a better defense. Overall very happy with this set of scissors. Hope they last a long time!
