Although the product was designed to help people with lower body disabilities get in and out of car seats, I used it on a glass shower door frame to help elderly people with disabilities to help person. Of course, the frame must be very strong to support the patient's weight and the person must have sufficient strength and manual dexterity to use the support. Shower stalls are particularly dangerous and difficult for a person with a disability to get in and out of, especially when there is water on the floor. Although the handles on the sides of the cabin are needed, they do little to aid in boarding and exiting. This product worked like a charm in this situation.
