It doesn't work on plastic - only very clean and dry glass.

They work with nothing plastic. They don't work if there's something on the plate. They are difficult to put on, pop out and do not seal. I just use a size larger than the shell and put it in without trying to stretch it. Trying to stretch them across a dish becomes an exercise in frustration.
