I bought this product after a bad sprain and no splint. A few years ago I used a similar tire. It worked to immobilize my ankle while it healed. It goes well with my tennis shoes and gives me the support I need. The sides of the tire can be customized with air tubes. I put this new "just in case" part in my first aid kit.
