MANY colors at an INCREDIBLE price

I'm new to handwriting (and LOVE it) and have bought some Tombow Dual Brushes but the price per pack is a bit high. I stumbled across this list and after reading other reviews thought I would jump at the chance to purchase this pack. Here's a breakdown of the good, the bad, and the indifferent: Good: + Price: For the regular price of 10 packs of Tombow Dual Brush Pens, you get 100 different dual-tipped markers that are hard to beat + LOTS of colors: There's plenty of variety in this pack and I found that some colors are very bright (almost neon); There is a marker that has a cap that looks like metal, but the marker doesn't actually have a shine (it just looks gray) Bad: - Lack of identification: I knew about this before buying but there's no way to fix it identify colors (tombow markers have a number on the marker body so you know what color you're using); I marked my markers 1-100 with a piece of paper and tape and then made a grid as color bars (see photo). Cap colors are not entirely accurate: they are not unique to these markers, but some marker caps will vary from actual ink color. I've attached an image showing some examples (the color I labeled #2 looks almost black on the lid, but the color is almost dark green and yellow); it doesn't really matter to me as I still have 98 colors and I still find it incredibly valuable even though some of them have dried up; Time will tell how long the markers last Regardless: * Great for handwriting, not recommended for coloring: I know the listing says it's great for coloring, but in my opinion I'd choose something else - the top of the The brush is slightly smaller than the Tombow Dual Brush Pen (which I think is larger - I prefer the Pentel Touch Sign Brush for writing longer sentences - see photo for comparison) but the fine tip is closer to a Sharpies superfine tip , which is too small when coloring the mold ; I personally prefer the thin Feela tip to accentuate detail (I think the thin Tombow tip is too thick). the eyelids have a slightly different taper, so that some have the tips of the brushes pointing downwards, while others have a thin tip pointing downwards; Again, it's worth it given the price and variety of colors, but I wanted others to know about it. * Ribbed edge near the brush tip: Depending on how you hold the marker, the brush tip has a ribbed design that can be uncomfortable. For long writing/painting sessions, the price and variety make up for it, but there's something others should know (you can see this by enlarging some product images). General Thoughts: I would recommend this product - Incredibly cheap you can't beat the price for 100 brush tip markers (which ALSO have a fine tip). Just be aware that you'll probably want to try the color on a piece of paper to make sure you get the color you want, as there's no way to identify the colors (unless you do it yourself like I did ). I just received them so we'll see how they hold up over time but I'm very happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Compact for storage in a clear plastic case. The color connection on the caps and the pointed design ensure a comfortable fit.
