I really like this shovel. After reading lots of reviews and instructions I sprayed it with cooking spray and let it dry before using it. It does an excellent job of scraping off residue that's trying to stick to the bottom of the tray. It's also big enough to handle what I call large urine stones. I also like that the size of the slots is not too big and not too small and the litter stays clean in the box when dirty litter is removed. I thought I wouldn't use the mount as I never needed one but I want to try it and it was a game changer. I installed it above my junk drawer and it worked just like it did. The changes to the game are now that it is set in sight. I've found other members of my family use it as well. I suppose it's a case of out of sight out of mind for her. In any case, I'll leave it installed. I will buy again. I have this on my Christmas list for some of my cat loving friends and family. I am also buying a second one to put on our second tray.
