soul in a box! in the Camera & Photo section

As the owner of the X-Pro.2 I was considering buying the X100F months before it was released because I had the X100S and was very familiar with it and would X100F bring. There was something about the X100S that no other camera I had owned before had, it had soul. This is a subjective conclusion from my experience with the X100S, but since I gave up and switched to the X-Pro.2, I've been missing it more and more. I took the plunge and bought the X100F because I knew it was very similar to the X-Pro.2. Expect when I received it and opened the box I was so surprised at how small the X100F is compared to the X.-Pro.2. After having the X-Pro.2 as my only camera for over a year, I forgot that one of the key features that made the X100S so beautiful was its compact size and how easy it was to take with you everywhere. My only two downsides to the X100F are the lack of weather protection and the built-in GPS (I know it's possible via the app, but it's counterintuitive). The weather protection is arguably the main feature that has always made me hesitate before purchasing, knowing full well that my X-Pro.2 with 23 f.2 has this advantage. However, I do remember leaving my X-Pro.2 at home many times because it was cumbersome to carry around (yes, even with all the "Fujicron" f.2 lenses I have - 18, 23 and 35), and I've always had to choose between handling the X-Pro.2 with a thumb grip, which I feel is necessary, or with a flash (first-world issues!). Depending on your photography style, I think this camera suits most styles of photography, documentary, travel, street portraiture and, believe me, landscape photography if you're willing to think differently.

Great camera, but the little quirks it has and form factor just aren't for me.
